We all had a wonderful time- the crew was great, nice to talk to and did their jobs so well. Our crew had a great time, fully bewitched by the beauty of the place and ghosting along on gentle zephyrs. It was hard to leave. We hope to do it again it was so much fun. Please give our best to the crew and thank you for coordinating everything.

I just wanted to take the time to say, "THANX MUCH!!" to you all for such a cool and fun sail October 1, 2011. I treated my husband, our very good friend and our 9 year old son to the sail that day. It was a crisp, fall sunny day, perfect for a sail with wonder tastings of beer! Well, not for our 9 year old - hahaa! We had a very cool crowd of folks who conversed like we were all old friends.

The Crew -- was fantastic!! The Captain witty and refreshing, to say the least. And I even got to help hoist the sails! Well, I thought I was to be at the end, but that quickly changed when we were told that we were facing the wrong way and didn't have the right rope in hand. So, I ended up being the lead "hoister!" Tough job, indeed, but good thing this 49 year old chick is very athletic! :-) We'll DEFINITELY be taking one more sail before the end of this fall season.

Thank you for all of your help in coordinating the HFTP Social Wine Sail last week. The moon was in Venus - at least we did have a full moon and Mother Nature totally cooperated.

Special thanks to the crew - Captain Dave, Michael, Morgan, and Levi. They were awesome - a winning combination! Our chsse, fruit, and panini platters were perfect for that time slot.

All told, a good time was had by all. Thank you for helping to make it a memorable evening.

Everything went very well with our event - it was hugely enjoyable and we had a lot of fun with the team building. Top marks to the crew, they were great, and the customer service was excellent.

Last week we took 63 NJIT Alumni on the City Clipper for a 2 hour sail. Everyone loved it. The crew was terrific and the whole experience of setting it up, getting the tikcets, etc. was made very smooth and easy by Alicia and then Mary Luz on the night we were there.

You have a great staff. We will be back

I wanted to let you know that the Brunch Sail Cruise on the Shearwater was lovely. In spite of the heat, lack of enough wind to whirl us around the harbor (we did find some wind and sailed up through the Buttermilk Channel), your terrific and most entertaining crew provided us with a beautiful and most memorable experience. All of our guests (we had 10, but one dropped out at the last minute) were delighted.

As a life long New Yorker, I would recommend this cruise to anyone wanting to truly enjoy the harbor and NYC Skyline as it was meant to be seen.

(I was also impressed with the food and drinks...not overly ambitious, but on-point for a brunch...very nicely done).

You guys are the best! I don't know if you remember us, but 2 weeks ago we took our 8 yr old granddaughter (visiting from Texas) on a Shearwhater sail and Emma said it was the BEST thing she did all week in NYC, including seeing Mary Poppins! So thank you so much, and now we are taking granddaughter #2 on a sail next week! I can't remember any names to thank you individaully (except for Morgan the beautiful drink-server) but you were terrific! From now on I'm taking every visitor to NYC on s Shearwater sail!

Our engagement party on the Shearwater was flawless.  The boat is classy and 40 people fit comfortably.  The crew was happy and helpful and Levi kept the drinks flowing.  Once the sails went up the ride was smooth around the Statue of Liberty which was back dropped by a beautiful sunset.  I will surely refer people to Manhattan by Sail.

The cruise was great, and Heather was fantastic.  She really made the difference between "just a nice sail" and a really telling team exercise.  I really appreciate your help getting this together.   The food and crew were also top shelf.  Overall it was a significantly wonderful day.

We all had the best time!   It was a perfect evening and the food and crew were wonderful.  We would definitely do this again.  Everyone is still talking about it today! 

We were passengers aboard your Sunset Sail on Sunday, May 16th. It was an incredible experience and definitely the highlight of our entire trip to New York City! Thank you so much!

Let me say the Googlers LOVED the entire experience.  They loved all three captains and I received so many compliments including "best offsite ever" etc.  Many thanks again for everything.  I have and will continue to promote this as the seasons permit as Google does this type of thing every year across its teams. Truly terrific and the folks loved it - the weather was tremendous so just added to an event that was already top notch!  Please pass on the great feedback to Pat, Jared, David and all of ManhattanBySail (Thanks Tom!!!)  and especially to you!

Thank you! We were really lucky that the weather turned out as great as it did. It was raining heavily when we woke that morning and we were a bit worried watching the forecasts. There ended up being just a light bit of rain during the actual ceremony and it stopped within a few minutes. There was even a nice bit of wind on the harbor once we got out there.
We were thrilled with everything and we would certainly recommend you highly to anyone looking to throw a great event. Everything went as smoothly as we could've hoped. Once we have a bit more time I'm sure we will write some things up on the various wedding related internet sites that Taryn browsed in the process of planning.

You'll have heard it before but I wanted to say that we had a wonderful journey on the Shearwater. Leaving in the sunset, returning under a full moon. With quite some wind, which made it sometimes quite.exciting. My daughters already think this is the best moment of our stay in NY.

We thoroughly enjoyed your cruise!  It was FABULOUS and a great value for the money.  The crew was so nice and friendly, and access to the boat was easy to find.  It was the highlight of our trip and we did a LOT of things while in New York!  The people we ran into were disappointed they didn’t take your cruise after talking to us, but said they saw your clipper ship out in the harbor.  What a neat, once in a lifetime, adventure for us.  Thank you very much

Just want to thank the crew and management of Shearwater who got my whole birthday party crew (5 people unreserved!) on board last night. We had a wonderful night. The crew was incredible and the ride was a trip all New Yorkers should do at least once.

This past Saturday, July 19, my friends and I celebrated our good friend's bachelorette party. We began our evening on the Shearwater Sunset Sail. I am writing to tell you what a truly wonderful time we all had. The boat was beautiful, the weather ideal, and the crew were friendly and skilled. The stars were aligned, and our Shearwater Sail was the perfect way for this group of girls to share special time together on this occasion. Everyone in our group thought the sail was a remarkable and memorable experience.

My husband and I have had the opportunity to make fabulous life-long memories with Shearwater Sails. The very first time was on a lark--we had always gone to Newport, Rhode Island and sailed several times aboard the Madeleine, a reproduction three-mast ship. We had also had the opportunity to go out on one of the America's Cup racing boats, a catamaran, and smaller sailboats. We thought it would be interesting to sail in New York harbor, and it was FANTASTIC! To sail in view of the Statue of Liberty, the Manhattan skyline, the New Jersey coast was a remarkable day. We also had the opportunity to be aboard the Shearwater when she was a participant in a harbor yacht race! Sailing aboard the Shearwater has given a couple of people who love the water, but cannot realistically own a boat, the chance to be Queen & King for a day! We can't wait for the new season, and new memories! Thanks for continuing to "be there" to fulfill fantasies.

I sailed with you for the first time last summer and it was one of my all time favorite days in New York City. The staff was all friendly and fantastic and the boat was gorgeous and I have been waiting for the weather to warm up so I can come back and sail with you again. Taking an afternoon sail on the Shearwater was the perfect escape from my hectic city life. Thanks for providing such a great service and for providing me with such wonderful memories of my sail! ?

Being on the Shearwater is the best way to have a quick vacation from hectic NYC, with out actually leaving the Big Apple. Almost immediately as we sail into New York harbor my tensions melt away. As I breathe in the salty sea air I feel my self relax. The friendliness and attentiveness of the crew makes me feel welcome. As they introduce them selves and explain the workings of Shearwater, it brings a sense of competence and safety. These guys know what they are doing. I lazily watch the NY skyline and have a special experience as we approach Lady Liberty and rest near her for a moment. Did I mention the sky? Sometimes I lay on my back and just look up. I have seen many magical sunsets as I sip my wine. At all times the crew is available whether to serve a beverage or quietly maintain the well being of the cruise and her passengers. They are friendly and answer questions. I think so much of making the sail enjoyable is the crew. When I step back onto the dock I am a refreshed person and thinking about when I will be able to do it again. ??

We want to thank you so much....everyone had a great time even though we didn't have the best of weather. Looking forward to doing it again next year. Thanks again!
